I'm tempted by a trade offer for havertz where someone will take auba from me. I'm an arsenal fan so there's that but I'm wondering about good potential from havertz. If I made the trade I could possibly drop under or Eze for Ollie Mcburnie as a backup forward. Thoughts? Current roster is Maddison, pulisic, James, Eze, Bowen and under. Sterling, auba, lookman, benrhama and raphinha.

[Repost as I had the wrong scoring settings set on the model when I was grabbing numbers out to respond]

It's tough to let go of a player that plays for the team you support. But at this point, it's so hard to argue FOR Auba finishing anywhere close to where he was drafted in terms of value. So if I had him on my team, the key thing would be doing everything I could to get value back for him. He was drafted in most leagues as a Top-12 player. You probably can't get back a Top-12 RoS player for him (on his first 10 GWs, he's the 87th most valuable player in the Value Index model). Havertz could be a Top-30 kind of name, which is first three round value, so I do like him and I'd probably recommend this swap, though it does leave you a bit light at forward.

You've got an excellent midfield there, though a bit of injury risk with Pulisic and James, so I don't think you strictly NEED Under, despite his evident potential. I am stashing Under in my league, but I'm aware that he's got a really tough task to establish himself ahead of all of the players that can play his position.

If you are essentially doing Auba + Under for Havertz and McBurnie, I'd probably be quite happy to look at that at this point. McBurnie's got a bit of risk associated - he's not getting the ball into the net (either by goal or assist) enough. And that's eventually either going to relegate Sheffield United or they may try to find a way to replace him. But right now, both Havertz and McBurnie have good availability (Covid apart) and good output. But his output is good (currently 44th most valuable player).

Yeah I had similar thoughts. It becomes midfield heavy and dropping under after holding him so long is tough. Rodgers just won't start him though. (He has been building minutes however). There are other froward options like Willian/Pepe in the free agents too.

So yeah I'm really torn. Better player but overstocked mids so less flexibility.
